Still you know the crank swap works and you can now buy a 3.58 stroke crank with 318/340 main size right from momma mopar and yer done . Many of these blocks from all reports will take a 4 inch bore so you could even use the 360 pistons and all you would have to do is add the valve reliefs which is really a 2 hour job at best if you are creative enough to do it the way I do on a prototype or one off. You can still buy 360s for about $100 here anyway and sometimes they are free. Crank grind and main reduction on a stock 360 crank used to cost me $150 but it might be up to $200 now. Rods work, pistons can be either the ones i suggested or at 4 inch reworked 360s. Oh i know there are those that would need billet main caps and forged cranks and H beam rods and forged pistons and roller this and billet that . Bless you my sons. While your are spending a fortune building a space craft type engne the rest of us will be cruising puttin thousands of miles on ours and we wont be breaking anything. Why? Because a 360 doesnt break anything either and we have all his parts inside. It seems to me my pal whom I guided through this build has about $1500 in the whole deal. I want to say $1250 but it was awhile ago and I am not sure . He is away for a month so i cant ask him. I know it was incredibly inexpensive. Don
Can't remember exactly either. I used to have good pictures of both deck surfaces, and I remember comparing head gaskets at one point. That was a LONG time ago...
