Looking to find makes and models of Moapr vehicles that had the BW T-8x trans w/ OD (R-7 to R11) mated to the 354 Hemi.

    Purpose of inquiry:
I have a 56 F250, T85/9 w/ R11 and a 354. I wish to retain the 3 on the tree b/c its cool and utilize items I have if possible. I aim to locate a stock bellhousing as I believe a 3 spd w/ OD was use behind the 354 in stock applications. From the picture, it also had the E-brake mounted on the rear of the trans as does my 56.

IF you know info of what makes and models had this combo and or their current whereabouts , please post or PM.

    thanks

The standard 3-speed was used in Dodge and Plymouth, but finding the holy grail might be easier than an actual 354 with 3speed.

Generally, Mopar transmissions in the 1950's p*** cars used a very long input shaft (even longer than an A-833) so that the std bell will not accept a ford/gm trans with a much shorter length input. The truck bells are shorter and vary with the year/trans/application and you 'might' find one that could be used but it will be bulky. Mother Mopar did not skimp on the iron in the old days...

If you want/need to use what you have then compare your input shaft length to the later ford/gm lengths. If it is similar then consider using an adapter to mount a gm bell and then modify it for the ford trans. No, we do not offer gm adapters.
