Last week the lady and I were on a junkyard date (our favorite place), and ran across a 79 Ford Econoline that was full of uninspected junk. We decided to inspect it. We struck Mopar gold. This van must have been a racers mobile work shop back in the day. It was fully outfitted with parts shelves, and on top of all the parts and dead leaves were a grill and 70s microwave. We had discovered a time capsule. We found 2 sets of 383-426 wedge heads, and the casting # pulled up 1964. We found a full set of seemingly unused forged big block pistons: These are some crazy high compression pistons, and though they are highly oxidized, there is zero wear on the skirts. I'd venture to say they've never been installed let alone run. There is a number on them that I'll get later. We found some interesting looking taillights: I was floored when we searched the part number. They are from a 70 Roadrunner. Anywho, the lady is pestering me to go to the garage, so I'll end it here. But not before showing yall the greatest find of them all:
Forgot to mention the Holley fuel bowls. I found no less than 17 of them, but, strangely, no other Holley parts. Also found a factory Carter AFB.
