I like what you have done.
Looks like you have a nice car in the make.

I am looking forward to seeing it finished,
I will bet you are happy with it, too.

Smooth Sunburst. Very rich earth-tone. A car that will see much magazine coverage.

    LOL..
Yeah i spent close to 16 hours sanding my ass off yesterday..while my buddy followed with the buffer..
    and finished the glazing today..

Now i know why i like the simplicity of primer [IMG]

I'm so shot right now..i know it's all gonna catch up to me soon.
But i'm still so excited i can't relaxe yet.

I really like this car, every time you post a photo I see something new. The peaked hood looks great, great color too!

Your probably right on that. [IMG]
I am really proud of this thing, probably too much..i'm by far NOT a body or paint guy.
    I'm more of a mechanical person..motor's etc.
guess i'm a little over excited with this, at least for now..

    Thanks a lot..

And that hood was a BITCH! LOL

Boy it's gonna be a shame to see that nice paint job get covered up with mud [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]. Haha just kidding. You've done very well for someone who's done alot of first's on the car. You plan on having any pinstriping done on it? later plmczy

My initial plans were to have the hood and deck striped..
But like a lot of plans, they change as you progress.

I've decided to leave the hood alone. I like the way the peak looks without anything to distract the eye.
I will more than likely have something done on the deck lid though. Not sure how mild or wild, but i know it'll be in white..
Above and beyond that, nothing on the outside of the car, just the dash.
I decided a while ago to keep the outside of the car as clean and simple as i can without any doo-dads..i'm not even putting mirrors on it.

I'm guessing you now have a real appreciation for people who do that for a living. You've done a beautiful job, congrats.

A few of my friends do paint and body work for a living, not all custom stuff..more general work with this stuff on the side.
One of them was there helping rub it out yesterday..
He had asked me what i would charge if i was to do this car for a 'customer'..
We both smiled..i knew what he was getting at.

It's not as easy as a lot of people think it is..or may look to them.

  24. What show are you premiring that Beautiful peice..?

Not sure if im going to make the Showdown if people keep backstabing me on these parts..

Oh, and Nice JOB! I should paint my frame that color..

  25. You should be damn proud of that paintjob! The computer can hide flaws, but I dont think there are any on that car, good reflections, looks arrow straight.

.........after four years in primer, I still remember how excited I was when we peeled the masking tape off the Studebaker. Back on the road a week and out for Sunday breakfast....looking out the diner window and watching some old fuck throw his door open and take a chunk out of the quarter panel right down to the bare metal!!
Best of luck 'bro........it IS beautiful! [IMG]

    Oh man......thanks!! [IMG]

Stupid people has been a concern of mine since the first coat of clear.
I WILL drive this...but i'm gonna pay a little closer attention to where i park/leave it..(at least for a while til it gets a few road scars.)
Even though you can't stop fait..

sad part is, the last 2 cars i built that had shiny paint i was the one to scratch or chip them first...
