All of you are pussies and need to rethink your purpose on the HAMB! I own a 4banger, it will go 200 on the salt, no regard to fuel mileage. Once again, pussies Repeat, HOT ROD=hot, Street rod=lame....................Kenny, drive the B210 if you want mileage, keep the hotrods hot! Do NOT repeat the errors of the 70s!
Listen Trent- I intend to keep all my V-8 cars -I just was thinking the four in a T or A RPU would be a fuel efficient parts runner[it's 55 miles minimum] per trip here for parts or anything....with my pickup its about on empty after all week here in town before I go back to town for gas... I forgot to mention its also a 55 mile trip FOR GAS-as we have not had a gas station here in about 15 years! How could this be as bad as a model A banger motor in one?
If you want to be able to run all over the place , and not have a $1,000.00 dollar a month gas credit card bill to pay, ya better consider squeezing some serious mileage out of these old rods we drive.
Hey Kenny, those Datsun mills are dynamite little engines...and if you can locate a five speed tranny from a 77 or 78 B210, you'll EASILY get over 40mpg! (Our old 5-speed 77 got 41 on the highway running flat out at 75-80mph!) If you wanna use the Datsun rear (why not?!) and wanna wake it up some, I have a brand new OEM ring and pinion for ya. I'd have to check the ratio, but I think it's like 4.30:1 or something! Might give ya more zip for your zap! New in the box...and yours if you want it, Bro!
