I thought i would post a couple of pics of these I made for a fellow Hamber John, for his 51 merc. Some of you guys have probably seen a couple pics here and there of them. The guards are 51 caddy if i remember right, turned out pretty cool. took a lot of work and some head scratching to figure out how to do them, but in the end they turned out pretty nice....finding a chromer that doesn't screw something up one way or another, now thats another story:rolleyes:

All i know is i pulled some hair out on these ones! these ones killed me.. really pisses you off when the next day you pop the lens out of the mold and the little mercury dood is not centered and crooked! I have had a couple of other sets that i have to do for a couple of other guys that i have put off for a bit, so ill be messing with those ones very soon. ones are for a 50 chevy, and the others are a 50 merc. the hardest part most of the time is the design..telling yourself....nope that stupid looking what were you thinking!!

  12. So you mold the glass???
I have a pair of tail lights but only one has a lens,do you think you can reproduce the other one?

they are not glass, the lenses are resin based. you can post up a pic of the lens, not sure if i would be able to duplicated it or not?

I did a tech thread on some other ones, to give you the basics. I can take some other pics of the steps to make the diamond design.. John the wife said sure as long as I bring her and Lincoln too! I hope you like them when they show up!

Thanks for sharing your process on the previous thread, I really look forward to any additional info! I've got an idea on how to create the diamond diffuser texture but would love to see how you did it....also show these beauties us lit up!

  30. Matt has shipped them to me and should be at the house when I get home from Afghanistan in the next few days. Matt I will put the lights in them and light them up and post pictures on this thread and my build thread as well. It will be a minute until I get to see them mouted on the bumper unless you have a picture of them on it? Do you have some finished pics of the bumper too?
