We're actually getting close to a finish line here. We mounted the artwork to the rounding boards that fit above the figures on the carousel.. These five panels form a complete circle. This week we hope to mount them on the machine and take a video of the thing under its own power. We still hope to debut it at a good sized car show even though we missed the Peterson exhibit and Autorama. The scalloped area at the bottom mounts the lights. There are over 200 on the machine WE ARE GETTIN EXCITED! For those unfamiliar with this project you can check it out here: http://www.finkosel.homestead.com/files/index.htm
Man that is kool! so when you get it running how much weight can it hold? Can the big boys & girls ride it?Or is it just for the small boys & girls?
This actually brings a tear to my eye! In this "selfish" day and age, someone putting SO MUCH time and effort into a project for the fun and love of it .....is stunning. You guys have done the impossible. You have taken Big Daddy's art to a new high!! From a "fan," I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! (when's it going on eGay?)
I dont think I'd ever list it on ebay. Our plans are to show it off at a large car show and then find an owner to purchase it that would like to care for it and display it properly. None of us really want to spend the time it would take touring this thing, although we think it would be neat if it could make a World of Wheels or Goodguys tour for a season. The ****** takes up a bit of space, and even though I have a huge shop it would just be in the way of other projects and wouldn't be seen often enough. So I guess at this moment the fate of it is a bit unknown. Things have a way of workin out though. Big Daddy and his style have set the course for my life. I owe him a lot, and this is just a tribute piece to a man I admire greatly.
