After our first event at Shelsley the next stop was Curborough sprint track this past weekend. A little different this time as it isn't a hillclimb but on the flat with plenty of run off space if you get it wrong! Unfortunately we were down on numbers in cl*** Z (flatheads) but still managed to put on a good show next to the more common race machinery. Clark (enbloc) was racing is gorgeous 36 coupe and as I can't enter any further compe***ions due to having a commercial vehicle Pete (nutrocker) offered me a shared drive of his awesome hand built ally modified for which I can't thank him enough. The cars. The times. The format is 3 practice runs then two 'event' runs. I took the old action cam along so thought you might like to see some action. Me and Pete's third practice runs. Pete first. Me and Pete's first event runs again Pete first. Finally Clark's final event run. Pete drove his car really well and earned the cl*** win although I was happy to get within 1.5 seconds of him in an unfamiliar car and Clark threw his coupe around with such panache that he won the 'most spirited driver' award. A great day!
That's with a basically stock flatty. Pete is really going to fly once he starts upgrading the motor!
It's gorgeous and Clark drives it like he stole it. Here he is at Prescott hill climb getting it seriously sideways coming out of a bend!
Very cool !! What dash is in his coupe, different to the other 36 dashes I have seen. They usually have that waterfall in the center ?? Is he on the HAMB ??
