More junk I don't need....1/4 midget and car parts.

Someone had to clean up some property, I gave $500 for misc parts and here's what I came home with. The 1/4 midget is pretty neat with adjustable torsion bar suspension, mini hairpins etc. Some of the stuff is junk and some is good, it was a fun Saturday! I got everthing in the first pic plus a bunch of SBC cyl heads including 5 double humpers. Also a cool piece of yard art, a shortblock that grenaded at 9,800 rpm in a sprint bar and blew both sides out of the block and also the center of the crank. I'll post a pic of that later.

A friend already has the hood. It is just the lower half of a mannequin and another friend got that.

Any of those quick changes V-8 models?

 

The quick change centers are Winters, they were in late model sprint cars. 3 are cracked and one looks to be OK. The 5 spoke mags...one pair are Americans, 14"x6" Chevy with a real negative offset. I think I will narrow these to 4" to make a pair of front wheels. The other pair are 14"x6" ET's , unilug. Then there is a magnesium 15x6, Chevy pattern single. I looked hard for it's mate but never found it. Anyone else have one?

Cool. I have a 1/4 midget just like that one. I used to race around the Torrance area when I was a kid a loooooong time ago. Still got, but it don't fit no more.

Is it just me, or is anyone else bothered by the fact that the guy only had the lower half of a mannequin?? :-D Great score BTW! You could recoup your investment by just selling those wheels individually on eBay if you needed the cash back!

 

I do plan on getting my money back. Haven't really decided what to sell yet. I do have some other stuff in the classifieds right now.
