I know where one is (2 door) thats solid. 6 cyl but not running... I don't remember if it's a hardtop or a post. I think he wants $1500 for it. I'd buy it but don't have any room for another car.

Yeah yeah yeah.....everyone and his brother was yelling CHOP IT, over the Spacetruck.

Just finish it and everyone will forget about the quad headlights thing. :D

    I think it looks cool.
It does look a little ass heavy in those pics though. Did you build it to have a reverse rake?.....or do the pics lie?......

At any rate, I KNOW it will look great when its done. :)

I've always loved the grille on The Black Rodders Journal shirt. I know its been done. Thats what everyone seems to be leaning towards with their suggestions

Aaron, I wish i could come give you a hand with it before the pileup. It looks really good. I think the guides are just fine, quads will only add to the neatness, the guides dont take aways from the neatness. So in retrospect, the quad headlights will be like extra credit. Make some like bass' drawing. they will be neat.

See you in a few weeks babycakes.

1500 is a lot to pay for something that I am going to throw most of away! Ha Ha Ha.

I bought the Olds for $200 and the Buick for the spacetruck for $300 and it ran. I just need some 4 door with the bottom rotted off.

We will see what happens. I am getting tired of working on this one. Ha Ha Ha

True... but $1500 Canadian for a solid 2 door is a steal up here

not telling you how to build anything , cause youre pretty clever on your own. but how about a set of those '30 something hudson tear drop sorta jobs as headlights?they were tall with fluted glass, single element. if i knew shit about html id show a set on here. just an idea anyways

Something like this might flow with the rest of the car. All the "new" shit has those hoeligen (can't speell either) lights with the plastic lenses. The balb mounts in a scocket that clips into the plastic lense, pretty simple to adapt to a neat balb holder ot to put behind Brush's flat lense sculptured light bracket.

I sure ain't telling you what to do, cause your way ahead of anything I'll ever do, just trying to supply a few observations. Gene

The Ass end is to low the headers are gay, The windsheild will be hard to see out of and the guide lights are just a way of saying your lazy and dont want to take the time to build some that match the car. Have you thought about making it look like it has quad lights with smoked glass in front of them but actually only running one light behind the glass that way you can run one light but have the look of quads. What time are we sanding Sat?

PS I still think you should have run two fours mounted side by side with two of the 60s style top fuel (Prudhomme) scoops and a set of zoomies, anybody can buy some headers,HAHA

  12. Think of the inner lights on a 62 Dodge, The area where the bezel "folds" to follow the top of the grill...

turn 'em sideways and low, using that fold to match up with the prifile of the grill shell, then stagger the outside diagonally and slightly behind the lower ones. Think Exner.

Also, Taillight King has some small driving lights that may work.

  13. The concept sketch nailed it i think..some modern beams hidden behind a moulded setup with covers...

Here's my take on what the front needs...sorry about crappy photochop..only had two mins to do this at work...

Needs some body mass up front especially without zoomies filling the front void..and some wheel "skirts" or whatever they are called would be cool...adding to the sleekness of the overall lander...

Just my 2c...I pretty close to wanting to clone this sucker its so perfect...

    =]

    Cheers

  14. Very nice work.
I know I am just a FNG but I had thought it would be cool to hide 2 lights side-by-side behind the grille. It was a thought I had for my project but I am no where near that stage yet.
Again, Very good craftsmanship! I tip my welding cap to you.

Melvin, you are right. Get your ass up here and show me how it is done..... Doggy Style Biatch! I have to go to a footbal game sometime on Saturday so I will call you. Friday night might work out better. I need to yank the body, flip it over and POR 15 the underneath.

As for the rake. It is dead level. The pictures lie I guess. I think the frame sweep gives it the illusion that it is leaning back. I may have to crank the coil overs up a notch or 2 to raise it up.

I believe this is the Weesner drawing that Cshabang is referring to. Hard to see the grille, but looks pretty damned cool. Very Ala-Kart inspired.
