Definitely a big day! It will be one with mixed emotions.
Time to turn the page to a new chapter with nothing written on it.

Hopefully an uneventful trip by the mover. Mine got stopped at the scales for 1250 pounds (!) overweight in the shop filled truck. Pulled around for a vehicle inspection. A nail was found in a steer tire, so total out of service. They had to bring out another truck and unload stuff, then get another tire installed. Got here too late to unload, so the crew had to spend the night in a motel and unload the shop stuff the next day.
That was an expensive day for the moving company! A ticket for overweight, a new steer tire, a second team in a second truck, double the fuel costs, motel and meals for two crews! That ate up some profit!

How are you moving all the vehicles? I’m finally getting one of mine this week.

I had to use a dude with a Dodge diesel and a 3 car low hauler to get my extra stuff moved.
It wasn't high end, but got the job done and he was careful and reasonable. I wouldn't do that for nice stuff, though. Enclosed sure isn't cheap, plus you are at the mercy of the others inside with route planning and shuffling. Here's hoping it is so smooth you forget the details and can concentrate on the 10 thousand other steps.

Gonna tow one car with a U-Haul truck this week… then, I fly back and tow the other with my Rivian… which will be miserably slow due to poor towing efficiency, charging, etc…

The point is to drive one and tow another. Two for one trip.
Makes sense, rather than have 2 hauled.
Ryan, if you are not aware, Aging Wheels has a few videos on EV towing. You can delete this post after reading, it's REALLY OT.

    Ryan, that Porsche is cool.
I visited the Flat 6 Ranch of one of the Porsche heirs the other day. I must admit that I was not that much into Porsches but I have become a convert there.
There are some pics of the place floating around on Instagram.

I thought you also had a custom shoebox?

    @Ryan
Towing with the Rivian, is that going to be your do***ented trip to give Road Trip results to your Corporate Rivian bud for engineers review etc. ?

I was involved with similar over my Corporate years for real time test results with mfgs.

I’d install an RV cam and headers always improves towing:rolleyes:

My deal with Rivian is over now. It’s just my truck. I love it though… it’s just the wrong tool for the job I’m about to throw at it.

    I have a wife. :/

    Ryan,
Thank you very much for selling me the car. It was a pleasure to meet and spend some time with you at your shop. The car is home in Northern Ohio and safely tucked away. It was a long 1200 mile drive. I have already started buying parts and EBay is very happy with me right now. I will start a build thread as soon as things start happening, just trying to get back to work and caught up with other projects at the moment. I hope you keep the avatar, it will always be the Jalopy Journal Coupe.

    Thanks again,
