I finally picked up the roll of film I left at the photo hut a few weeks ago. These are from right around the time I fired it off the first time. I love this car.
Hey are you runnin an undropped axle? If so could you post pics of your front set up. Just lookin for ideas because this is the way i'm going on my model a until I can afford a dropped axle. Looks great, wish mine was that far along.
I love the look! It has attitude just sittin there! I wish I could hear what those pipes sound like! 12 spokes and a cackle when you blip the go pedal will get ya goin' every time! Looks good man!
I like the look of the pipes. from the pics you posted it looks like they might stick out from the sides. any pics taken from straight on?
I don't have any pictures of the front end setup. It's a stock undropped '34 axle, hung by a model A spring, model A perches, and a split 40 ford wishbone. '40 ford spindles. Model A frame with a stock crossmember. So it's really just a stock model A front end with split bones. I want to get it higher in the front so the crank centerline is 24" off the ground. right now it's only about 18". 700lbs of chrysler golden lion 413 pushed the spring way lower than stock height. I'm thinking about going with an A axle and a few more leafs in the spring to get it higher. Dave
The damn photo hut screwed up most my pictures I had, so I don't have any from the front. Yes, the pipes stick out farther than anything else on the car. Those took way too much time to fabricate....
Can ya hear it- can ya - can ya whup-whup-whup on ALL those multi carbed baby rats.Nothin like a crossrammed MOPAR VERY COOL--FEDER
BBBAD ass, thats one mean lookin A, what carbs are ya gunna run on it, it looks like you have an adapter to run two 97's on top of each four barrel flange or twin carters like on the old max wedges. FED
What an effin' trip! Can only imagine what a rip down the road in that thing is, behind the pipes. Wow...
I built the adapters from aluminum, to stick the 4 strombergs on the cross ram. I havent made the linkage for that setup yet or bent up the fuel lines, so I fired it off with the carters from my plymouth. My current plans are to drive it around with the strombergs, until I get the hilborn injection for it. The guy Im trying to buy the injectors from keeps telling me next week. Progress is on hold at the moment while the weather is crummy, and until I can get it stuffed in my basement to finish it. Dave
I wanna see that thing! Bobbleed and I will be at Tucks place friday night, hmmmm. Live anywhere near Tuck?
You gotta drive within about two miles of my house to get to tuck's place, if you take I-94 to I-694 to I-35. PM me if you want directions. I should be around on friday.
Looking bad ass i like the pipes, Trying to work on the wifes car but waiting for parts to come to the house ordered for tcsr in st paul once they get here i can prob. get the steering going on the t
I love these real hot rod "in progress" pics post. Your A is cool! Pics and post like this keep me in the the spirit and motivated. From first mock up to first fire up and everything in between. cool cool cool Steve
I'm really glad somebody thinks my car is neat. Most the people around here tell me i'm going kill myself with this thing. Thanks. Stevie D, lets go over to Jeff's soon and work on the T. I wanna build the motor and tear into those six 94s you have. Something about working on a car in a heated garage instead of my driveway... Dave
