  2. I will admit, some I have had to completely rebuild! It's like building from scratch sometimes. There's really nothing i'm looking for right now, after getting the 666 Coupe. But, I will be getting another old Pickup, probably 38-40. I miss that 38....even if it tried to kill me on the way back from Bonneville, hahaha!

  3. Oh yea....can't forget "Blue Balls". That was a fun transformation. Should have kept that one too. Didn't need much else to do, windshield and the Jag front suspension I got for it. Got offered a great price for it, so I let it go. Funny thing...the guy who bought it put it up for sale the DAY AFTER he bought it! for double what I sold it to him for! Go figure...

Only posting because this was mentioned:
I’m not exactly sure how to post a link. My son has possession of the car for now.

  8. Sadly some of those that were named aren't on here as much as they used to be (if at all now).

@onekoolkat1950 built a real nice 29 roadster, a badass single seater, then a belly tank, all beautiful cars, all in a few years. He ran them at TROG then sold them, my hero. He did build threads on all of them.

Many of their Threads have bore the redx brunt but a fair number still carry the message and tech loud and clear. We can forever be thankful for that as it's always a search away even if they fell short of completion and they are always a search away...as I said I named quite a number and there's many many more...So many I've missed as well...they were Vintage adventures to begin with so in my mind they never get old and are always worthy of Bttt's...

I really dig build threads. I’ve been a part of three. Two of my own and I got my son to join the H.A.M.B. when he was 19 and bought his first project he’s almost 21 and his car will be on the road this summer.
The thing with build threads is they can really get long . I think one of mine went on for 40 some pages. It’s still fun stuff and it really keeps me going. I love when people respond and better yet give me some really good ideas. It isn’t bad having thousands of eyes check your work also.

I am really impressed with the level of the builds here, especially from those outside of North America where they have to overcome obstacles we would never even be aware of.

Hamber @Kustom7777...embarked on a journey to create this...the above is an Inspiration of what he's working on and it was and hopefully still is moving along...it was an awkward build to follow as he made individual Threads instead of 1...but at the link above I shared several links to all or most of his Threads...anyone know him? He hasn't been on for quite some time but he had quite the vision in Vintage Custom and was a very talented Artist...

I'm relatively new around here, so I missed a ton of great build threads (once in awhile one comes to my attention and I end up spending a few hours reading through the whole thing). But in my time here @Marty Strode 's build of the Spalding Bro's roadster repro for Pat Ganahl has probably been my favorite (and it's finally all coming together into final painted assembly right now).

Another great thread that was before my time here, but one that I did find and enjoy was @MrModelT 's build of his T roadster

    Other honorable mentions would be:

Nathan Stewarts y-block powered 31 coupe:
    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1931-model-a-coupe-y-block-build-father-son.1004188/

Aaron Dominguez's A V8 coupe build, in which he documented just about everything on video, a very cool thread IMO:
    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/aarons-29-av8-coupe-build.1027487/

    @Gotgas 's 57 Chysler:
    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1957-chrysler-mild-custom.1093148/

    Rich B's Model A coupe:
    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/richs-coupe-a-ten-year-odyssey.1172804/

And one more, @Blue One 's T RPU:
    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/26-t-roadster-pick-up-build-thread.460009/

OK, I lied, How about Cory Taulbert's 33 5 window:
    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/33-5w-build-thread.1127212/

OK, that's enough, the more I think about it, the more I keep remembering.

couldnt find a picture of it with supremes but I didn’t look very long. When it went red/white I think it broke the HAMB but I was on board. I noticed he got banned at some point…too bad. Or maybe not? I wasn’t around when it happened…
