Hope that everyone is having a great Mothers Day! Mothers are a blessing. I lost mine a few years ago. So anyone who still has theirs, had better do something special with her today! Here is picture of Her, and our 57 Chevrolet. Ron...
My mom passed away almost 20 years ago and I totally agree with Ron,if your mom is still alive take this opportunity to see her today and if you can't be there in person pick up the phone and call while you still can. HRP
Yep-gong to see my mama soon as church is out. My mother's love has never amazed me. What amazes me is that she gives it to me.
Making dinner for the Mothers (as my wife calls them) this evening. I am so fortunate mom supported dad and all the car craziness. Here is a shot of my brother and I with mom. My mother in-law is in the back seat.
I've still got my mom here on Earth, and she's one of the best! My wife isn't too bad of a mom either. So happy this thread isn't about wax and polish.....
Mom's are special in so many ways....it really hits home when they are gone! My mom loved the old car hobby, and absolutely loved going for rides...especially stopping for ice cream in my hot rod...big smiles. Let your mom know you love them...and take them for a ride if possible! It means a lot, even just to talk and enjoy the time together. My mom loved old hot rods....pic of my mom with my dad
Ron Here is the 57 that was the sole transportation for my mom and I when I was in high school. My dad died when I was fourteen and we never had a car before so I was real fortunate that she helped pay for it, I had to pay for all the mods though and make sure it was not out of commision too long. She was not too happy with me when I blew out the spider gears in the rearend on the way to school one morning, and snapped an axle in the school parking lot another time. I think she put up with it because she may secretly have enjoyed the attention that it got. Wish I had a photo of her with it. My favorite saying of hers is the one at the bottom of my main page. Miss you mom.
my mom at 18 years old on the right....peachy.!!!!! She went to sleep last year....great cook amongst other talents....
Denny that is a nice story. I'm sure that she enjoyed the car through you. And I'm sure she liked the Mods too. But they will never tell us that they do. That is a sweet 57 hard top. A fun car for high school. Great stories from everyone. Raiman and choptop that's a great photo! Thanks Ron...
Here's mine in 1938 6 years before I sprung on to the scene with dads 29 roadster w/ Craeger overhead and chopped top.
