I changed out a freeze plug on the lil 216 yesterday and when I pulled the plug out inside the block was 53 years of sludge. Anyone ever flush out a block have any tips on the best way to do it...thanks in advance-AJ

pull all freeze plugs and pipe plugs, pull thermostat and put garden hose in water outlet and probe water jacket with screwdrivers and coat hangers while water flowing, be prepared to get dirty and wet.

I'd watch how close you are to your well you are, too. antifreeze doesn't taste too good. I'd still like to try the moll***as trick in a rusty engine some time.

step 1.drain a gallon of coolant from your system.
step 2.buy a gallon of vinegar and dump it in there.
step 3.drive it around for a couple days.
step 4.drain it all out and refill with fresh ant-freeze/distilled water.
