I saw this on the main board http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=688907 Many of us have done the 289-302 swap in our Fords and the '54's and up use the ANCHOR 2725 & 2726 mounts,it looks like another company has gone to off shore ****.ANCHOR also goes by the name of DOAN.Not sure who manufactures NAPA's mounts but you may want to check the country of origin.Energy Suspension polyurethane mounts have taken a dramatic price increase last year they ran around $90 at most vendors after a search today best deal on the web was $122 + shipping but here is an alternative http://www.dallasmustang.com/mustang-parts/product/MOTOR-MOUNTS-1984-1995-50-POLY-PAIR/9246 Borg-Warner also made mounts but not much luck finding suppliers.
well i have experienced it myself, it was on a 2002 mazda protege. we had a big ticket job on this car and couldnt get dealer mounts in the time frame aloted to us all fit ok except one. i orderd 4 moor from oreillys , all the same. physicaly could not be bolted in. i wound up telling my boss what i needed to do to get it out the door that day was to cut it apart and weld it back together. he didnt like it but it had to be done. the car was back in work the other day about 6 months have gone by. that mount was still good, but another mount a mount i didnt like the way it was made anyway was bad. i have also noticed on alot of mounts that are directional mounts for front wheel drive cars, they have put them together wrong. we also have had a chevy trailblazer with a 6 cyl. the right side mount. put one in it 2 times cause the dealer was out of stock and the customer cant make a good plan to let us fix it right. was in again this week get about 3 months out of them. this time the dealer had it in stock and he got one. but so far ive had good luck with the mounts we use here.
