  4. Greaseball... you wouldn't happen to have a picture of the light blue one in the background of the picture of the candy apple colored one??
    Sam.

  5. HorseshoeJohnny, that's my bike on ebay! I built it almost 2 years ago and now she's going to a new home. Here are some I'm building right now, the blue one will be on ebay in about 2-3 weeks.

    That's the HAMB's own "dirttracker"'s old bike...
Think he sold it to his brother?

  8. Yea!
    That one's mui-bitchen'!!

Kinda along the lines of what I'm building... or gonna build... I havent' picked my pile of parts up yet...

I'm getting an old Unit-Chop that has a stock neck on it... and I'm going to bob'it into something that is similar to the Pre-Unit Bobbers... I don't care too much for the extended frames and choped front ends... if anything, I want to shorten it up and move the tire as close to the oil tank/bettery area as possible... maybe even run no battery... anyway, I'll get to it this summer after I finish the pickup that I'm working on now.

    So keep the pics coming...
    Sam.

  9. Kinda like the orange one I just pictured but a unitized motor and trans... BTW, what size wheel is the orange one running in the rear?? I know the front is a 21"er... but the rear looks a little big for a 16"... is it a 18"? What were the sizes??

I bought a peanut tank, new in the box, at last weekends' P-Town Swap meet... $25!! My buddy who owns the motorcycle shop said a whole bunch of them just recently flooded the market... but at $25 ea... I bought TWO! [IMG] The same Hap Jones tank on e-bay is selling for $75 - $100...

They are about but don't see many at car related runs, i've looked at that one real close & its beautiful right through.
Parts & prices are a simular situation to you guys you just have to be lucky, but we do have plenty of vitage bike swap meets & the old giffers sometimes don't value the parts we like so high....so you can still get a good deal.

This is my first bike, a -16 Moto Reve´that i found in a barn and had been there since-29, it was a 450 cubic cm V-twin that probably had been used in WWI for preperperednes (i´ve looked that word up)It was in good shape, the engine seemed perfect but some parts were missing from the gearbox, i felt that it was too much for me at the time so i sold it to a restorer who seem very happy about it... And as a bonus u get my first "nice" car in the background, a 61 Opel Kapitän with Chrysler grille...
