this one is without a doubt the nastiest looking engine yet

Those Allisons are crazy motors. I got to see one in person at Gale Banks shop, it was gigantic.

For me though it is a blown flathead

Been slapped around since the day she was born, Seen 7000 a time or two, blown a few Torqflites and now my first pressure plate, My crazy ex girlfriends dad did the machine work and cc'd the heads, I always say his head was better than hers. Ol' Dad Steve Adams takes the credit on the build. This motor is One Happy Motor and acts like a Drunk Slut sometimes.............

Some times throws up a little before the WWWaaaaaaaaaa WWaaaaaaaaa!

Guys, can you help me out with these engines that have the Intake and Exhaust Manifolds reversed.... What is the advantage? It seems like it would take a decent amount of work to do that, so I'm assuming that it's not just for looks.

    Thanks,

I don't care if it is a Boat Motor(s) but two SOHC motors is definitely attitude.

Is that Camaro's blower real or a Photoshop deal?

That is a old EMD locomotive blower, and they actually use two of them per engine. They are 2 cycle diesels like a Detroit. The newer EMD's use a big turbo / supercharger that is gear driven at lower engine speeds and exhaust driven at higher speeds.

Mctim64 .... Not only is the paint job got attitude but the starter rope is pure vintage cool for sure. No wimpy, auto-rewinding rope on this motor.

This guy put a train blower on his Camaro. He punched it once and it blew both head gaskets lol. Not photoshopped either, here is a video explanation.

This motor has gear driven sleeves around the bores. The sleeves go up and down and revolve around the cylinder bores opening up ports for intake and exhaust. These were used in Sea Furys with a 11 foot 5 blade prop.

Can anyone help me find more info on this motor? Dual cams in the block. Hilborn injection. It sounds super bad ass. I'm very interested in the concept of dual valley cams. I know Mopar played around with that idea before they tried a OHC Hemi. Chevy tried using it with a new concept motor the XV8 in the late 90s I think.

  25. that big blower on the camaro is from a locomotive EMD (electro motive diesel) slow turning engine like 1000 Rpm red line that blower would have to be way under driven to keep the cfm's low enough to keep a reasonable fuel ratio going

  26. you can't really even see it but it just screams bad ass
