I searched but didn't see an answer to this particular question, although I thought I have seen it before, so here goes. When mounting you channeled body to a fabricated frame, do most people just bolt it to the frame through the floor, or do you fab up mounts on the frame and bolt it that way? I have also seen people weld the body right to the frame. This would be the easiest way for me to do it, but doesn't seem like a right way! I have a 4" channel on a 3" frame and the seats will be sunk down low past the bottom of the frame, so the frame is not easily accesible once the body is set on the frame. Any thoughts or suggestions???...Ken
I would build the floors and then skin the out side of the frame , down past the bottom , then weld the bottom of the body to that ! get a long 1 inch piece of thin strap to keep the body straight and in line . good luck !
Go to www.streetrodderweb.com and look at the new article they did on channeling a 1933 Ford coupe. Plenty of pictures and explanation. May be of some assistance. slhetal
