When I first got my car a few years ago it had lake pipes on it.... the first time I burnt my leg on them I tore them off! I didn't pay attention to how they were mounted then. I still have the scar on my calf! When you get them on.... be careful!

I had a pair of Thrush side pipes back in the early 1970's and we had a piece of metal that was bent in half at 45 degrees and it side up to the floors and the other part came down the inside of the rockers . We bolted to the floor and the little lip at the bottom of the rockers and then attached the pipe to the piece under the rocker . Like an "L" turned a 1/4 to the right . Do you understand what I am trying to say ?
I would make a drawing but don't know how to do on my computer .
That is how we use to do it and yes , The leg on the pipes really are painful !

yea understand I tried to make something like that but we all know nothing goes easy I got frustrated so I took a break , and I'm not hooking the pipes up right away just for looks now will hook them up later or I might just wait and have the muffler shop mount the up for me when I have them hooked to the exhaust
