mounting power brake booster

    im going to be putting a power brake booster into my 50 chevy i know it goes on the driver side but how high or low does it have to be, any advise or pics would be greatly appreciated

    Depends on the pedal,need to find apetal that will work,then you can work out where to mount it.

    SO HERE IS WHAT I HAVE.... DO I JUST ESTIMATE WHERE I WANT MY PEDAL AND DRILL THE HOLE THROUGH THE FIREWALL

    You will need to fab up a mounting bracket and a pivot point for the pedal so it operates correctly.
     
  5. whenever i'm up against a project i have never done before , i look around and see how others have done it...both good and bad....to gets some ideas.

    these guys offer a bolt on firewall MC and pedal for `49-54 chevies .i'm sure Rod & custom did and article a while back on installing one and if i recall correctly used some existing bolts......i'm not saying to buy their kit , but study what they do , get some ideas and make use of their design

    As Midwest Rodder said get the brackets in and hang the pedal first. That will determine where the master and booster go. Doesn't matter how high or low just so there's room
