Who are slicks? What is this baloney post about? Someone trying to move a car show that they have no stake in?
Start your own car show or drag race or whatever you want to do with your own time money and hard work, then move it, move it all around the country and become rich and famous and "slick".

 

The Pileup is a great show done by some really nice people.I go every year.Hopefully I'll be bringing the Fairlane in my avatar there if I finish it in time.Slicks? Got em on my 60 Chevy.

Ha ha. Yeah I guess I need a new hero, maybe this new guy I heard of.....Boyd Faggington?? And yes I thankfully still have my valve covers on my car!! I might be up there but the woman is due on November 7th so we'll have to see what condition she's in! I might have to stuff her in the coupe to get there.

 

I'll stir the shit: They have a track at the fairgrounds why not say the hell with the sally-assed straight line shit and go 4 wide wheel to wheel?

 

im not one to pass up a good smart assed remark!, no really, im not! but im with kevin on this one!!!could someone please put this thread out of its misery?

 

i thought this was a traditional hot rod forum? dust? come on people! traditional hot rod's were built to be driven and dust is part of the experience. i was there last year, and yeah it was dusty and cold, but one of the best experiences of my life. i came from colorado and met by pa there. it was amazing, thanks to the guys that put it on for a memory i'll never forget. see you next year!
