Welcome! I am in Fountain Valley, just 2 exits up the freeway from you. I used to live at Harbor and Adams too (Peppertree St). Cruise over to Adams and Beach and eat at La Capilla. Best Cadillac margharitas EVER!
And there is a great parts store at Adams and Magnolia. Bruce is the guy to talk too. Its an Ace Auto I think.
I asked at the AAA a while back here in Long Beach and they said they would only verify cars that came with at least two factory stamped VIN locations. That kinda lets out most "old" cars I don't know if that's still the case or all CA AAA's.
Welcome to so cal. My kids are 8th generation so cal'ers, we don't do to well in the cold weather. Someone mentioned Johnny Rebs. There's also one in Bellflower on Bellflower Blvd. That's the one we go to. Not only has great food but it's on Bellflower Blvd. which was a great cruising spot in the 50's and was still going when I started to drive in '72. The street has changed very little over the years, except for all the empty buildings now. Also, if you make it North to Long Beach and want a beer, you have to hit Joe Jost's. Oldest bar in town. Been there since '24 and very little has changed. Get a schooner and a 'special' sandwich, a pickled egg, shoot some pool and your good to go. No more Pabst on tap though. And while you're in L.B., you'll have to hit "The Pike". Not the dopey Pike down by the water but the one on 4th street. Long Beach's second coolest bar. Owned by Chris Reece, the drummer of Social Distortion, and it's got a lot of great stuff on the walls, ice cold beer and the best fish and chips in town. It actually won some kind of contest for that title, not just my opinion. Live music most nights of the week, been there when some of the Blasters have popped in and got up on the tiny stage. Still my favorite band so that was a pretty nice evening. It's parking lot also host's a once a year (maybe 2 times) vintage bike swap meet.
My buddy is the one who started the Bike Swap Meet at the Pike, if you are into old bike check out their vintage bike rides at http://cyclonecoaster.com/
Thanx this is good to know as I was going to hit the AAA by me when ready, wonder if you could get them to crawl under the the car with a mirror and look for the frame stamp VIN Thanx Flyin-T...these are great suggestions, Ill check em out for sure!

You really need to try Zubies - There's the Zubies Chicken Coop on Pine in Costa Mesa, the Zubies Dry Dock on Adams in Huntington Beach (where donut derlicts happens). Unfortunately the original is long gone, but these two are GREAT
