I recently moved back “home” to Spokane to be closer to family (after 40 years living abroad). Now that I’m back I would like to get reacquainted with local hot rod/custom culture. So my questions are: What are the best annual Spokane shows and swap meets? What are the best weekly/monthly cruise-in’s. Greatly appreciated! 32Stoker
Best wishes on the move and good luck in the new location. Sometimes we just have to go "home" again.
Go to a local zips burger (other places have them as well) and grab a INCCC calendar (its a little book thing) it list all the shows and swap meets in the area. A good show is the Spokane Speed and Custom show which is normally in April,
Will do, thanks! I remember back when that event was called the “Spokane Auto, Boat, and Speed Show”. It was usually held at the Fairgrounds. Is there a single BIG weekend cruise-in event in Spokane?
I'm not in the PNW but it looks like the big one is 07/15/21......ten blocks downtown and 500 cars. https://downtownspokane.org/event/inccc-downtown-spokane-car-show/ Weekly http://www.spokane.exchange/car-club-calendar/ Looks like the Inland Car Club Council puts out a yearly calendar of events in the Spokane area. http://incarclubcouncil.org/calendar.php
There is a show similar to the old Auto Boat and Speed show. its called Spokane Speed and Custom show. Its the biggest indoor show of the year. The guy that puts it on gets some really really good stuff to come in. The show has a Facebook and Instagram you can check out.
There's allot of car guys in Spokane and the surrounding area. I'd say the Spokane Speed & Custom Show along with GoodGuys are the events I usually go to. Tons of other small things & gatherings
If you ever need any rear differential work done, Billy Johnson is the go to guy in Spokane. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Happy Holiday to you. Things will open up hopefully next year. I think the Spring BBQ in Palouse south of town is a really great start , great little drive and you see a little of everything at the car show. It sponsored by the Knuckle Scrapers.
Could someone please share Don Audel’s HAMB user name and/or contact information? Please PM for his privacy. I know he is retired, but wanted to ask him if he would consider making a special exception to pin-stripe my 37 Ford, the “Dick Flynn Coupe”...recently repainted with 8 coats of Acrylic Lacquer. Thanks much! 32Stoker
I just checked and the Normal PNW go to rod trot calendar and car show magazine = Cruzin magazine has been suspended at least until this virus thing is over and things open up again. Can't help on Don Audel, I watched him strip a car 30 something years ago But that's about it.
