No luck for Cloud Museum. The old man died a few years ago and his kids auctioned everything off.

Good luck on the move. I was out in Tucson and fell in love. We keep looking but the market in NY is so bad right now we would get killed selling the house. One day I will be there!

Welcome to Yuma. I'm originally from Dallas/Fort Worth, TX but moved to Yuma for my wife (who is from here). I too live in the foothills. I'm also a special ed teacher in Yuma School Dist. 1. Get in contact with me when you get settled here.

GM moved their AZ Proving Grounds to Yuma a couple of years ago. That might be a good place to check out for work as a fabbie. Hit the GM.com & post your resume first.

    Just a suggestion...

Crap!!! The Cloud is gone? That place was soooo cool! Nice old guy too! He took me once down the street to his home "storage lot" and let root around for bit... What a collection of "T" stuff!

  8. I know. I was looking forward to checking this place out.

    Thanks for the replies guys!

Gone. It was sad to see his kids not care about his passion and auction it all off. The building is there..... Empty....

Then Yuma is definately your friend! I'm a fan of the "Dry Heat" too. I spend a couple of weeks out of each year there and I really like it.

A move to Arizona will be financially beneficial to you. Here is what I experienced. 1) DMV fee's reduced by 60%. 2) State taxes are about 1/2 of what I was paying to the state of Kalifoornia. 3) Property taxes may appear to be higher but really are not. 4) Look at all of the fee's the Kalifoornia local governments imposed and then realize that isn't happening here. My net gain? About $6,000. a year. Enjoy Arizona and you'll be living on "the West Coast." No kidding! The radio stations on the east bank of the Colorado River talk that way daily.

    AMEN! to that!
Been migrating our vehicles to ARIZONA since 2006.
Before the 'GREAT RECESSION" it was a strong marketplace for special interest vehicles too. Maybe again, one day.

Saw your tires on CL-yuma. Checked out your blog.
We operate a federal non profit vehicle museum in San Diego and spend the winters in YUMA. Let's hook up. I will be in town after November.

  18. Which museum do you operate in San Diego?

  19. No, it is Wesley.
