I have an oil leak. Looks like rear main seal, 2 piece 350 Chevy. I tried an offset seal from a local parts place, don't remember the manufacturer, about $10. That didn't help. I found a Fel-Pro, FPP-2912 made of Fluoroelastomer, at Summit. Do they make these in offset? Or maybe with the crank opening a little smaller to compensate for possible wear? Or might it work due to superior inherent design?

    Thanks,

    Bill

That was why I put Mr. Fel-Pro. I wasn't sure of his Username. Tried to change the subject but couldn't.

    Hi Bill !
Just working on my Coupe getting ready for the Rumblers show Friday in Ormond Beach.

The best seal would be our FelPro two-piece, Offset Double Lip design which is part number BS11829-1
These were designed for cranks that have wear in the normal location and offer twice the sealing area.
Summit has them in stock, as should most GOOD Auto Parts stores.
Here's a link to the part at Summit: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=FEL%2DBS11829%2D1&N=700+115&autoview=sku

    Hope that helps you out.
