I just got all 700+ pics I shot at Lead East uploaded - what a PAIN , lol ! I was walking around yesterday shooting pics like a friggin' tourist ! Lead East is quite an event , without a doubt . Something for everyone , from jalopys to gold-chainers & loads of interesting people to talk to . I hardly scratched the surface , but with all these pics , it oughtta keep ya busy ... I divided them up into 2 folders : LEAD EAST 2011 - BOOK ONE LEAD EAST 2011 - BOOK TWO Here are some teasers for ya :
I saw this DeSoto and thought it was really well done. Here's a link to some shots i took. http://www.photoshop.com/users/brianryoung/albums/344f9ac47c1842cda7dd84ef2fb5e63b/slideshow
Great pics, as usual. I'm exhausted going through them all. It looks like you had a nice day weather wise...I guess NJ is back in one piece.
Thanks everyone . It's really tough to take "killer" shots at an event like this , with everyone walking around & such . My theory is to just shoot a boatload of pics to capture what I can & hopefully a few pics turn out OK . I certainly got my daily walk in !
Thanks for taking the time to take the photos and share them with us. Lead East has always been one of those "someday" events on the unwritten list in the back of my head.
As always - my pleasure to take & post the pics . I know there are loads of events I can't make it to , and I'm grateful when others post pics . Craig ... I WISH could be driving mine there next year - most likely we'll have to all pile in YOURS to get there !!
This DeSoto was a winner last year. Interesting that as rare as those DeSotos are last year there were two that were winners, this one and an amazing '36 Coupe that won Best Restored Car. You can check 'em out by going to LeadEast.net and clicking on 2010 winners. Damn, I love those old MOPARs.
