Clayton and Chris, All that work is starting to pay off. Love being around a shop like that as things get closer to a complete and driveable hot rod "T" . The Speedster is going to be fun out on the highway. You guys will have one enjoyable trip.

Clayton, Thanks so much for the Sat update. Chris is looking very intent. I know those fenders are going to better than metal when he is done. Going to be one neat and well put together ride.

Sand Sand and final prime. also sanding the seats and gas tank to be re-coated. Had quick sanding party on Saturday my mom and Melissa where looking over the fenders and found too many flaws so into the paint booth one last time. hopefully Saturday I'll finish Sanding everything and put color and clear on Sunday afternoon. 95% of the flaws were gone after the last priming. I'll get some pics on Wednesday evening.

Chris, Good to hear from you. The extra set of eyes is good to have. They help to find all those little flaws that you miss. Gots to love them women ! Looking forward to the pix when you get them posted.

Chris, Don't you be a putting me on ! Get all excited when I smell and see fresh paint. I am trying to get me '41 Ford Street Rod upholstered and repainted ! Poor baby was never upkolsterewd since I have had it. My tranny leak problem may be a minor issue. The drain plug on the trans was loose ! Took 1 1/2 turns to tighten. Also the upper cooler fitting on the side of the trans was leaking a small bit. . . . Lee did get my new intake installed and the crab rebuilt. May also be replacing the starter as it is dragging . . Old '41 must want some attention.

Have fun today. Will be looking for some fresjly painted fender photo.

    Have a great Sunday.

Geeze, this isn't even a speedster anymore. It's too nice. More like a coach-built Ford Raceabout!

    Looking great.

..fittingly, the Mercer seen here is THE actual car that the "Special" was based on...and THE car that Bill got the chance to ride in that inspired us to build it for him.

Clayton, Is it my imagination that there is a sag on the left rear fender ? Darn these eyes of mine. The paint came out very very nice.

Can hardly wait until - like some one said - "the only thing
left to do is drive the car . . ." I call "SHOTGUN !"

Dave there are a few sags in the paint I'll eventually cut and buff the fender tops and inside aprons on the front pair as they can be seen more then the inside of the rears. I'll tell you what when you get to Bonneville I 'll find a spot where you can drive the old girl, hows that?!

Chris, I sure will take you up on that offer ! Need to get a video of the Speedster and Clayton's "T" out there on the lake bed cruising along.

When will you pull the floor of the body off the frame ? Will the frame be detailed at this time ? I was thinking on my Model "A" I would just use a foam brush and some POR-15. Shouldn't look too bad. Did you see the thread on my "A" Coupe for the chrome parts I got ? All excited about bolting those parts up. May take the Lincoln backing plates and have them done also. Would make for a wild looking ride !

Guys, Will you be working tonite ? May check in with you guys. My '41 Tudor is all repaired. Got to go pick it up tonite ! Should run better with a different intake and fresh carb. Was even considering taking it up to Eagle Field this weekend. Maybe I will enter it in the Drag Races ! - NAH ! It's a cruiser not a racer. Have a great Wednesday. Hope to talk to you guys tonite.
