HAMB friends are in from Australia, long story story the MSD distribtor is shot in the hemi powered '50 panel truck they bought and they need one ASAP to get to Bowling Green, KY for the GG event, from Toledo today. They have one coming from Summit but they won't get it till tomorrow. Does any one in the Toledo or Metro Detroit area have one or know where they can call locally to get one right now?

Cookies to whoever gets them one today.

Did you try Kragen or whatever name their company uses in your area? They carry some performance stuff.

No, cuz they need it within a resonable driving distance from where they are. They are rebuilding what they have now at Enjenjo's place so if Frank says they can rebuild it and be fine I trust that's the case. This needs to get them to California. O'Reilys didn't have them in stock, needed to be ordered.

Just as a last ditch, think about a regular distrubutor from Autozone or O Rieleys. I get point style dizzys for my V-8 Pontiacs from Autozone for like 39 bucks no core.

    What engine is this?

    Good luck, -Abone.

Oops. Nevermind, it's for a Hemi. Not gonna find one at Autozone...

    Good luck, -Abone.

Place in Garden City, Merriman and Ford area, Race and Performance Parts, 734-762-6050 has the pickup #84661 in stock for 25 bucks. He said he also has a few different reluctors in stock as well but would have to call MSD to see if he has the right one. He also said the pickup should read between 400-700 Ohms if they want to check their's. His name is Tom.

Thanks bud! Frank is calling him right now and if it works out Frank will call my friend Scott who isn't working, (or my dad who is retired) to drive over there pick up what they need then start down US23 with it where Frank will meet him on the road. Fingers crossed. I feel so bad for the guys cuz they missed out on all day today at the GG event in Bowling Green:(

Thanks for the offer bud but if my Dad or Scott are picking it up they might as well drive as far as needed themselves. No real reason to get a third party involved. As far as I'm concerned my Dad will drive it all the way to Frank place for as much as Frank has done for me over the years. Then I would just own my Dad some cookies.:D Thanks for the offer though, very much appreciated.

cool to know they have it under control and can get them back up and running

They left about 1/2 hour ago. After much drama. Yesterday we tried to start it up, no spark. The MSD took a dump. Tried to order one from Summit, and with an Aussie credit card, they would not ship until monday. No one local had one, or the parts to fix the old one. We did get a new pickup coilm but the circuit board was fried. We eveb tried buying one for a Chevy and stripping it for parts, but no one in town had one of them either. So with a new pickup, and a 4 pin HEI module, we made a setup that would work, fired right up. So we went up town for gas, and the fuel tank sprung a leak. So we pulled the fuel tank out, soldered up the leak, and put it back in. So instead of leaving this morning as intended, they got out of here about 430 this afternoon. Thanks for all the effort put into helping us out.

They are headed for Bowling Green, and the Long Beach Ca. If they have any more trouble I am sure we can get help here.

They spent many hours and thousands of dollars at Summit racing on Wednesday.....go figure this happened on Thursday. Thursday Summit was contacted and the part was suppose to ship Thursday night and arrive at Franks on Friday. It never came and Summit did not call to tell them they had placed a hold on the order because it was a foreign credit card. If any of us would have known that from the start we would have offered our American cards.......dipshit order taker.

Barely left enough room in Franks van for Scooter to sit after their visit to Summit

They also spent some money at Harbor Freight

That coupled with all the stuff that was already delivered to Franks.....

....all had to fit in the panel truck for the trip to California then across the pond......and they thought they might sleep in the truck at first:rolleyes::D

They single handedly have kept the US economy going this month.:D
