My preference also, but you'll lose a lot of beer money if you do!

Get Porter Mufflers. They sound the best.

Porters or Smithy's. I have Smithy's behind my y block and I get alot of compliments on the way it sounds. I'm not a fan of the chambered exhaust sound. A old car should sound like a old car. But it's your ride and everyone has different tastes.

Porters on my '56 with Yblock. But it doesn't sound like a Mustang.

I like the fibergl*** mufflers but for longevity & a nice mellow rumble I prefer Flowmasters. HRP

I got more tickets for loud mufflers when I was a teenager running cherry bombs. HRP

I had Cherry Bombs on my car, way too loud and had an obnoxious rap to them. Changed to oval Dynomax mufflers, couldn't be happier with the sound. Has a very tolerable rumble at idle and a good roar when I stick my foot in the carburetor.
