I always love the look of more then one,***y is kind as many as can be added:D:cool:. But it's sometimes too much for the engine size ... 2x4 is often the best runner,if carbs are sized right..
I run on my own 28A powered by T-bird, 4x2 on my Ford Y,Thunderbird,using94s, on a homemade intake { I cut up a old driveshaft, and welded it together to make 4x2 set up.
Years back { in the late 60s } I made a intake for a buddy who wanted 6x2 on his Ford Y 312,we got it to run,but never as good as my own 4x2 set up.. I'm pretty sure we were trying too over come that,6x2 was really too many CFM for his "Y".< It was good on the 2 center carbs, but as soon as the last 4 dropped in,not so good. I'd seen 3x2 work real well. My own 4x2 set up; 001 (4).JPG

I have many cars with dual quads, None of them
give me a hard time. With this I have had a few 6 carb setups on small block chevys , and they never ran as good as I thought they should. I have been told that it has everything to do with the linkage , and how much you are willing to spend on it. Oh yea, and all of my flatheads seem to love dual IMG_8557.jpeg IMG_3165.jpeg IMG_2269.jpeg Judged best antique at Antique Drags 2023.jpeg IMG_2221.jpeg IMG_2222.jpeg IMG_2334.jpeg just fine.
