I just got here a couple hours ago. I was just wondering if anyone know's of anything to do around here. I'll be here until Friday. Thanks -Zipp
You should drive down to indy (45-60 mins or so.) and drop in at Bubba's Hot Rod Shop, Wed Night,, by the Track , on Gasoline Alley...a bunch of us get together from 5-9pm... Yup, you won't be dissappointed with a trip to Bubbas on Wednesday nights. Usually goes on from 5:30-9:30ish. Some of us gotta leave early to get the kiddies to bed for school.
Haha thanks guys, I actually need to go to bubba's and pay someone for my "Bubba's garage jacket" I went to a car show about 2 years ago and it was cold as hell and I was only wearing a teeshirt. So I asked about buying a jacket and they didn't have any so some guy took my name and info. The wierd thing was like a year and a half later a jacket and sticker's etc just showed up at my house and I was never charged. I was right in the middle of a messy divorce and didn't have money at the time to pay for it. So now that I'm back here and things are going ok I just figured I would stop by and pay whoever was nice enough to send it. I may be a little late tomorrow because I'm actually here because my girlfriend is going to some financial school because she works at a bank. But I should be there
Off topic of this thread but, Muncie and Indy HAMBER's: I'm looking for any information and old photos on my "new" front-engined dragster. It was built in the winter of '66-'67 by a guy named Don Dean, in Carmel, IN. It was owned by Charlie Sewell. It was called Sagittarius. It was a Top Gas dragster with a blown 426 Hemi until it was turned into a bracket car. It raced around Indy and Muncie for many years. Please PM me is you know of the car in it's original form. Thanks, Randy
Not really, there is a cool bar downtown in the Walnut Street Plaza,The Herot. They have only import and micro brew beer and wine. They have food and music sometimes some pretty cool stuff. Then the clubs around BSU are always busy. Not much car stuff right now.
A trip to the Indy 500 museum is worth it if you have time during the day. If you have a particular year of interest, you can express interest in the photos stored away upstairs and they will let you go through the books. I have several nice 8x10s from the 1955 event. Check it out.
Thanks guys! Anyone working on anything at home? I'll even bring beer/wiskey/ boons farms or whatever you drink lol. I'm just sitting here in my hotel watching lame *** tv shows... Ready to shoot myself haha
Hey thanks guys. That was fun seeing the shop again. Thank you again for the jacket, I wear this thing all time. I'll probably stop by again this time next year. You guys take care -Zipp
Don't curse me yet she's not my wife lol! But we kid around taking the plunge all the time... Thank you so much, you guys are all awesome. I seem to always find real nice people off the HAMB. Thanks again -Zipp
I live in Anderson, actually in the country. I am retired so I am here most of the time. It is about 15 miles from Muncie. If you like 32's and motorcycles thats what I have. Depending on where you are it is on the way to Indy. PM me for the phone number.
