Up for sale is this Muncie M20 transmission. It is a 4 speed and was rebuilt years ago by Don's Speed Shop in Lawrence, KS. My research tells me that this is a 1966 transmission, as it does not have a letter in the serial number (P0215). The letters were not introduced until 1967. It has 10 splines on the input shaft and 27 splines on the output shaft. It also has 2 grooves on the input shaft, indicating that it was the wide ratio with the lower 1st gear. Gear Ratios: 1st: 2.52 2nd: 1.88 3rd: 1.46 4th: 1.00 Rev: 3.11 I have listed the casting numbers and what they indicate below. 3885010 (1965-1967) 1" Bore 3857584 (1966-1970) P***enger Speedo, 27 spline 3884685 Cover issued with "584" tail stud type shift shafts. The transmission will also come the the Hurst shifter that you see pictured. The shifter also has the mounting plate. What you see is what you get. I do not have the linkage.
