This car is being built by Jim Hume, my dad's best friend (went to jr high together) I have been lucky enough to see it at jims shop and even had the pleasure of Jim and his wife stopping by my place last summer. I think anyone that has or wants to make a part from a bracket to a chassis should read and look at every picture , this is a pure hot rod there is no blueprint , Jim solves problems as he goes, its an amazing piece, look and learn. enjoy.-Cole www.target550.com
WOW great stuff Cole, I noticed he had some sponsors, I would be happy to provide them with all the cleaning products they need, from Wax and Polish and Compounds to Degreasers to Window Cleaner anything they need! Let me know! John
No One any were can hang tin better then Hume !!! .. He has tinned a few FC's for us ( Cole you dad's old ride ) back in the days This project is a Killer .... Thanks for the link Cole
Cool.... Blueprints are overrated.....everyone these days wants to use a computer to "mock-up" or design their parts....fuck that..... "On-the-Fly" engineering rules..... Killer link man.....
Nice work, I hope they run the numbers they are looking for. It reminds me of restoring old airplanes, the workmanship is superb. Doc. PS, did the 'Triple Nickel' idea die with Jocko or is someone else running with the concept?
Thanks for the link Cole, I heard that there was a car going together in the PNW but not much else about it until now.
"Looking into who has done what and why in the past gives us better vision into the future." I like that quote.
I had the pleasure to meet Jim a couple years back and seeing this machine in person and the quality that Jim does is second to none. He's such a modest guy also. His shop is just an old garage that he had to add a few feet to , to hold this monster in. The eggs that he built are also unbelievable. He has ties with John force and other Top fuel guys. Incredible dedication is all I can say!!
Holy crap, nice. I can't even get my truck to break road speed limits, let along land speed records. Bookmarked, thanks.
Jim is the most talented person I've ever met..Period! He also does woodwork of the same quality. Rocking chairs that sell for thousands. A regular great guy!!
