Have a 33 plymouth someone else started ...crossmember too high so i installed 2 inch drop spindle..this put the lower ball joint into the 14 inch rim ..cant change rims.....the lower a arm are the stamped steel..with the rear arm ...iam wondering what my options are.....i think a tubular lower with a pressed in ball joint would work but before i do this i would like to know if anyone makes a shorter joint......help...

  2. Your only choices are:

    A a larger wheel diameter

    B stock spindles

I've seen this scenario before. Go back now and fix the original problem. Relocate the crossmember to where it should be. Anything else you do is just a bandaid. You will be glad you did.

32viper is 100 percent correct... I had to modify the crossmember on a 48 truck.......get it setup right to start or you will regert it as long as you own the car....

I had the same problem on my 50...I bought fatman drop spindles and i have stock rotors and calipers for MII with 14 rims. my ball joints rubbed the lip of the rim. $20 fix went to the part store and ordered wheel spacers. Reason being had just bought 14 Goodyear Diamond Wall White Walls
