Can anyone tell me if the '75 Mustang II front suspension/steering is the same as '76-'78? I have a chance at a really cheap '75 donor car;has a lot of what I need. thanks, guys!
74 to 78, 79 is different http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Mustang#Second_generation_.281974.E2.80.931978.29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Mustang#Third_generation_.281979.E2.80.931993.29
I guess I must have one of those rare 53 Studebaker mustang II cars then. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Yes, (it is my understanding that) '74-'78 Mustang and '74-'80 Pinto/Bobcat had the same front suspension. (Bobcat was a Mercury product that was virtually identical to a Pinto ... not entirely sure you guys had them in the States).
74/78 Mustang II, Pinto and 75 -78 Mercury Bobcat should all have the same front ends under them. Back in the late 70's early 80's you could walk into the local Ford dealer's parts counter and buy a new front crossmember for one for about 90.00 over the counter and a lot of the Cobra kits ran them for years along with the Thoroughbred Motor Cars kit cars that were made in Redmond Wa at the time.
