I was curious if the front suspension out of a Mid 70's cortina is the same or similar to a Pinto front suspension. I'd like to put a Pinto IFS on the front of a full-fendered T. I believe that Cortina and PInto share some parts, but not sure how close they will be. Bottom line is I can have a cortina for free, but a pinto will cost me $400.....and this is a budget rod......anyone know? Thanks in advance.

Mid '70s... Is that the Mk3?

Mk1 & 2 had mcpherson Struts, and A Arms after that.

Brit Hot Rod builders have used the A Arm IFS parts.
( some parts are hard to find now, but I heard the Suspension was later used on a early Hyundai, so bushings & spindles were still available through them...)

Other than the bolt patterns for the wheels, I dont think that many parts interchange between MII/Pinto & Cortina.
