Has any one seen or used the tubular Mustang II upper control arms sold on Ebay and some of the rod parts warehouses? I have called about them and was told they were made by Gearheads. One place said they were made in USA another said overseas. I called Speedway and their tubular and stock control arms are made overseas too($200). My concern is price. They look great and for $125.00 they seem too good to true. All bushings, ball joints, S.S. cross support, and powder coated included. I was hoping someone would know if they are any good. I would hate to see a problem on the road. Thank you
I'm not sure what control arms you're talking about specifically, but I can tell you to be careful- there is at least one brand of uppers out there that uses a three piece, fabricated cross shaft that is welded together. they are easily identifiable because the bar part of the cross shaft is straight, rather than curved, as the forged or cast stock type. Also, the holes in the cheapos are round, and will not accept the stock MII alignment bolts, which have an "eye shaped" shank that matches the cross shaft. Hope that helps.
