Ok ok, so I have a 53 vick wanting to upgrade my front end for a Ball joint setup. I was wondering if you guys with victorias with king pin setups has swapped to a mustang II. I have checked out the jamco setup. But for the price they are pretty close any tips on where you went or measurements I need? I'm also bagging it. Already got the 302 mounts from speedway and the running flathead and ****** out. Sitting on a pallet and the 302 ready to drop in for placement. I don't want to drill the mounts until the front suspension is figured out.

Here in Oz, a Jaguar front end seems the way we go. Good responsive steering, great brakes brakes. They have a front crossmember which bolts in similar to Mustang II. A bit of work involved however you go. Don't know what your availability is like in the US. I suppose mustang IIs are cheap and cheerful.

Will likely require some frame mods on a mid '50s ford car frame . Very popular under mid '50's pickups ( ford and Chev ) . I've fitted several of these under all sorts of vehicles .

Any Jaguar XJ Sedan works up to 1987 Model Year (In the US). You don't want the front end from an XJ40 (88+ Sedan with square taillamps)

I never heard of the 2000 up crown Vic. Can you shed some light on this?

I would also be interested in some information on that as well for my 55 Ford . For some reason they look to be too wide but I have never measured one yet .

Look at an Aerostar as well. The Crown Vic looks good initially, but the aluminum has corosion and cracking issues as they get older.

    What a great link.
Sure seems the easy way to go and it retains the Ford stud pattern.
