Are any of you Okies doing the Mustang, Ok. car show tomorrow? I went to it about 10 years ago, remember it as being pretty good. We've got a big car show here this weekend, but it's indoors and too much walking for me with no place to sit, so I may just do another roadtrip.
Hey Jeff.......I did go. It was not the same show I remembered from the past. Probably less than 100 cars. I heard someone say it was their first car show??? not sure about that, but it was very disorganized. Sponsered by the Oklahoma Hot Rod ***ociation (I am now a member, lol) If they had had the cars they were hoping for, it may have taken all day just to register. One line to find out which cl*** you were in, then another to register, then a third to pay. Trophies were suppose to be at 2, didn't happen until 3:30. My *****in' is done, with that said, I met some really nice people, had a good time, won best of cl***, got to do a 500 mile roadtrip.
Gotcha. For some reason those shows that the OHRA put on aren’t very heavily attended. They used to do one in Guthrie where I live and it was even smaller than 100 cars. At least you got to meet some folks and do a road trip. Mustang is where Roothawg lives so is his stomping grounds.
Wish I knew Roothaug lived there............a Hamber I'd like to meet. This coming weekend I'm doing a show in Santa Rosa, NM..........Bozo's "Bozo and the crew Fun Run". Friday night and Saturday.
I'm keeping away from crowds during radiation treatments. I don't want to get another case of covid and not be able to go in the hospital. I did go to a small car show at the AG barn in Purcell Oklahoma since things were spaced out pretty well. A unique thing there was a mid 30s Ford pickup with a 4BT ***mins. Jams
We had a local all Ford show on Sunday at a Ford dealer. Cars ranged from a very nice 1930 sedan to Panteras and a Ford GT. There was one '52 for sale, two '63 Galaxies and a raft of '66 Galaxies. I brought my OT '20 Mustang.
In a few hours I'll be leaving for another show. The Goodguys is in Fort Worth this weekend, but I'm forgoing that one (getting too expensive) for a show in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. It's 175 miles each way for me. This show is the 15th annual "Bozo and the Crew Fun Run". Bozo is the one that built most of the cars in his auto museum there. LOL, if they have a long distance award, I won't be gettting it. A guy from Minneapolis posted on facebook he was on his way there.
