Went to a cruise-in this summer, guy in his late 70's had a beautiful '32 3W hot rod.

Sign in his windshield... "1st show for my finally finished 44 year long project"

I have had my coupe "off the road" since 1979,after using it hard for 13 years. Sick parents, marrage, an Autistic son (now 21) and a bunch of other things resulting in
nothing being done on the car. I started again in 2004 and it is almost ready to go, I could of completed it sooner but I can not resist screwing with things, it takes me at least 3 times to get it right. If my focus was to just drive it, it would be long done. It is not a show car and you would not give it a second look but it is fun to me.
My garage is not heated very well so work on the car is seasonal, am running out of excuses so this should be the year. Good Luck to everyone who needs to finish long term projects.

    I've had my O/T '68 Malibu Convertible since 1986.
Daily driver 'til I parked it in '93. Been "waiting" ever since.
I was always saying "I'll get to it someday"...I think that "someday" will never come!
I have enough to do with my '61 'bird!
And I have my eye on a really cool '57 Ford IF my Malibu sells!

After a decade long hiatus from cars I bought a project in 2002. I fixed a few problems and its been a driver since, but none of the body or interior work it needs has been started. At first I planned to finish it right away, but now I've realized it will be off the road for years once I start, so it waits until I'm ready to give up driving it for five years. Or ten.

Meanwhile I keep buying more parts cars and new projects. If I don't stop I'll never finish anything.
