Finally got a couple of hours today to gut the trunk enough to start the C-Notch and get going on the rest of the taildragger. Should get a ton more done on Saturday. Can't wait to get this thing on the road again...this 70 degree weather is addicting

didn't you just fit the gas tank in there. Now you ripped it all out haha. Keep up the good work. Did you get the glass in yet. Ya this weather is killing me. I am going to take mine for one last ride. Then I am going to gut her and she is getting a hair cut.

Well, the gas tank is still cool, I wanted to run a support bar across that inside edge anyway, so this way I can do it nicely. Springs should be ready to go for you by the end of the weekend if all goes well.

Cool, I was just giving you shit about the gas tank. Seems like I get something done on my car then I go and take it a part and change it all around.

I'm Going!! Got the C-Notch in today and pretty much got my ride height figured out. I'll try to get some more done this week and next weekend. Alex,
I'll call you on Monday. I may just need the lower cups that bolt to the bottom of the front bags and sit over the tube coming up from the lower control arm...

The last two pics are what I figure on for ride height. Its sitting on a 4x4 so I should have around 4" at the rocker on the road

Looks awsome. Make sure when its at that hight to get the rear end at the right angel. When my truck that had bags on it the driveline would vibrate due to the angel of it. The guy I got it from said it didn't bug him but it drove me nuts. Keep up the killer work.

Got the rear pretty much buttoned up on Saturday. Have to do all the sheetmetal work and install shocks/mounts and do the tunnel.

Put the front together also, now I have to run the electrical and plumbing so I can get it all set where I want it.

Got the shock mounts done, front and rear today. Also got the rear stuff all final welded. I made a bracket for the AccuAir solenoid setup. I welded the nuts on the back, so that I can do the trunk sheetmetal over the framework and then mount the solenoid pack through the sheetmetal (if you can envision that)
This week I will try to get some plumbing and wiring done and get the rear back out of the car to clean everything up and paint it.

Spent the day installing the shocks, routing the air lines, fixing leaks, extending the controller wiring, etc. The end result is that I can hit switches and the ass drops:D

Thanks! Now I have to decide If I raise the wheel wells to allow it to drop further in the rear. I would never drive it this low, so I don't know that I need it to go lower than this parked. Guess I'll wait to get it outside to make that decision

Got the brake lines re-plumbed with residual valves and everything. Got the tunnel cut out to allow the driveshaft to move and got the car outside in the light for some pics and to see how it sits.
The front crossmember is on the ground aired out. In the rear, I ended up cutting out the rear fender wells behind the seatback. I figure I won't do the forward portion so it doesn't add more complexity to my rear seat. I think its low enough (about 2" off the ground at the frame)

Got a good shot of the peaked hood and tail light frenching as well as the ranchero headlight surrounds.

Alex Gambino hooked me up with all the parts (C-Notch and 4 link in the rear with bags for the Fatman front end) He uses Slam Specialties front bags, with his C-notch, 4-link components from Alston and Gambino an AccuAir solenoid pack etc. I am sure its available for whatever you are running or you could do the c-notch yourself. Check out airbagit.com for some ideas on a system that might work for that chassis

  26. I normally cringe when I hear of one more Styline Tudor being chopped and bagged (like all the rest of them....), but this one is beautiful. Well Done!
