no ****?.....i shouldve asked this question a few weeks ago.
i saw a 73 mustang at the u-pull-it junk yard last month....but it already made it to the crusher...
i dont think il see another one for awhile.

i was hoping there is a car/truck rearend that is more common in the junkyard that i could use.
maybe an s10, bronco, mustang camaro from the 80-90's? or im i way off?

keep us posted on your build... I agree do what you want!! if you decide to sell it down the road and someone doesnt like the l6 they can swap it out. I am putting a 250 in my 54 chevy... hopefully starting the rebuild this weekend. once I get more work done I will start a build thread. john

"March to the beat of a different drummer"! If that was a '50 Chevy, lots of guys would be saying: "keep the six"! One of the advantages is; lots of room under the hood to work on the engine. Easy as hell to do intake/exhaust manifold work etc...

Gonna be a sweet cruiser when you are finished!

  9. Why are getting rid of the coupe body if you like the chop?

i love chopped 1949-50 mercurys....but my wife and I plan on starting a family soon and i feel a 4 door would be easier.
i still want a 1949-50 mercury but it would have to be a sedan w/ a chop.
