Well, I started off by stripping it down, then the wif came out and sanded some so, its been a real family project. I am trying to do a budget build on this and then re do a lot of stuff down the road as in change the engine from the 6cyl to a 318 with a Ford 9" rearend. Right now its been complicated as this is my first build but its coming along and I have learned a lot from other Hamb members!

That is what I have done so far, The whole in the floor board i pretty much cut a peice of metal then JB welded it down, I have a few more holes to fill then, I am going to seal the whole floor...

As for the dash I went with Ivory white, I plan on putting my user name on it in script writing Plymouth CC cause i am doing some custom things to it to make it a "Custom Cranbrook"

In the trunk, I plan on gutting the trunk pan and making a mounting bracket system for my gas tank in the trunk since I am lowering the car down 2 1/2 inches in the back and then make a sheet metal case for my tank to seperate it from the rest of the trunk and make it like a double safe gas tank.

The wiring on the gauge cluster was the hardest by far, I have not touched wiring since High School and getting a wiring diagram from the Hambers on here helped a lot and i just have 2 more wires to route for the gas tank and some more to wire for the lights on the gauge cluster.

On the Engine, I really didnt want to get to much into it so I changed the oil, put some new plugs and wires in and added a new belt hopefully it will start when I get all my wires routed.

    More updates to come!

Great car and reminds me once again that I need to put some time into my 49 Special Deluxe.
Getting that old L-Head to turn over should be no problem.
Looks like everything is bone-stock under the hood too.
I see it's still running a generator, so I assume it is still 6 volt?
With such a mild drop as 2 1/2" inches do you really think you'll need to move the gas tank to the trunk?

Nice! I remember seeing that one for sale on the auction site. Glad someone picked her up and she didn't meet the crusher! :D

    Keep it up!

Yeah I bought it off Ebay, I have been having some second thoughts since May, but I really dug into it today. As far as the tank in the trunk, I just dont wanna scrape since I have to go over speed bumps on and off base. Yes its still a 6 volt system trying to keep it original for now!
