Customs My 1960 merc ragtop

Finally got the 1960 Mercury monterey convertible out for a test drive today. Very loud with the lakes.pipes. I put a used 390 and a 1966 3 speed toploader with a floor shift. No power steering, so it's a handful.

 

Needs a pair of exhaust cut outs. Hehe.

When I was about 8 years old, our next door neighbor pulled into his driveway in his brand new 1960 Merc convert with the top down. I remember thinking that's the longest car I've ever seen.
