Me too - just so darn difficult to get them outta there once you're done building 'em!! Looking good Langy!
You know, we are kind of kidding around about this, but it amazes me how many guys start working on a project without any clear idea of where they are going. Then they end up changing direction halfway through, and having to sell off a bunch of parts and replace it with other stuff. Recipe for disaster, and a good way to spend $30,000 building a $20,000 car.
Nope. The little upside down T (or wired L) that's bolted directly to the top of your intake manifold. He's got 5 lil holes in him. Ops... Found the answer: I Like the bracket even better now that it's chopped in half.
Yep that better now it looks like a Paddle Steamer wheel. LOL.Just like the one I built for my roadster, except I didnt go to the same length as you did Langy. Really the half one does look better. Its hard to make something practical and Functionable. Yep we have to have all the Bells and whistles too for full Rego here in QLD too.Its getting harder and harder to build a Nostalgic looking car with all this additional crap you have to put on. Still can't have enough drilled and Finned stuff on your Hot Rod. Keep up the good work. Good to see progress is still happening on your car, even with the work load being high. I may be coming out of retirement soon, after I finsh my car, back into the Hot Rod and Restoration Builds.
My block came back from reboring +60 thou & new cam bearings on friday, My mate the reborer really done me a big favour and had it done in 2 days, so Gomez and I set to flatting the epoxy primer, The epoxy has been on over a week now so was rock hard, anyway after 4hrs of both of us with sore fingers it was ready for paint, here's the results, It came out just as I imagined .
You can send it to me to finish, and I am much closer than he is...cant guarantee you will get it back though...
Dude! I've been popping in on this build from time to time and I just have to say it's INCREDIBLE!! The attention to detail is outrageous! You are definitely setting the bar, here! Very inspirational!
I've spent the better part of the afternoon going through this thread. Amazing stuff langy. It's really a work of art. Everything is over the top and you have a killer build. Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to the finish.

You know your putting us all to shame with your incredible workmanship!!
Your going to rub the block down and FLOW COAT it arent you.LOL Its going to be the best engine detail Ive ever seen. You even epoxyed the Valley inside the engine now that going for a bit of Flow I'm guessing for speedy oil return to the sump, yeah? Is that why you did that Langy.
Maurice its funny you should mention them as at first i thought polish and clear but then thought chrome but did neither in the end as didn't want to go OTT
