Its 1930 i found in a barn in the mountains virginia kentucky line....was a homemade bed with no doors...4 banger ...i brought home put a new battery in an it srarted!! Hasnt run since me in guessing from looks 15 years...well i just drove with no problems for past 2 years...well i decided to remove bed...get doors...an of coarse got a 1950 flathead v8 fresh complete overhaul...i have had donated to me" from a old friend with 40 years in body shop customs" two bodys...one i belive to b a complete 39 buick nose "boat tail idea" an a again believe to be a 34 chevy ass end...no roof cut after door posts...well after some choping an cutting..busted knuckles... i well attach pics if i can an please give me opinions.. Were from the same miniature state so I'm going to give you some brotherly advice. Never ask for opinions on this site or anywhere on the internet. Find some model a Ford body panels to work with. I know this is realistic in New England if you look and you car will be a real thing worth$ for the same effort. Good luck If I can be of help pm me
Some of the other guys indicated you would be open to ridicule if you didn't find Model A panels to finish out the body. :/ The boat tail idea might be pretty cool. While I'm not a fan of mixing the 50s design language into the rear, purely because I think it would be too far different and be too obvious, the boat tail is a tried and true way of handling it, if done correctly. You don't see too many around, even though I think they look pretty rad.
Yea.i agree..boat tail is out...an im doin my best on locating a back body...i think most people dont realize that when i say "chevy body" in using it for sheetmetal...maybe a fender line if that....i would say a good 90% of it is being fabricated..i dont think anyone realizes that...i would never bolt a chevy body complete an throw it my ford lol...oh well ...it is what it is Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B.
