Over the summer Drive Chicago was allowing you to enter your car on Drive Chicago Cl***ics online. Out of the cars that were entered they were going to chose 50 to be displayed at the Chicago Auto Show. Well I was picked. In the end only 11 out of the 50 could make it. Monday, Dad and I took off work to haul it down there. We were the first ones there. I was pretty neat being there while they were still setting up the show. A lot going on. I drove my car onto the show floor and had to leave it there all by itself. I've never done that in the 14 years I've had it. I got an email from them telling me they had to move it to a new spot because so few cars showed up. No problem, as I have told them where they could push it by. So, if you are going to the show, stop by and say "Hi" to it! They have webcams setup that you can see online. One of them is near my car. Here is a link to the webcams. Click on the camera by the USArmy, the one all the way to the right. Scroll down. Once it opens keep clicking on the left side on the picture. This will pan the camera to the left. My car is all the way left. You can zoom on by using the magnifying gl*** ****on at the bottom of the screen. http://www.chicagoautoshow.com/multimedia/webcam.asp Here are some pics: Web Cam shots: So, Dad and I went to see it Friday night. What a weird feeling turning the corner and there's my car. Pretty cool. Here are some pics from Friday night, after i waxed it!
That sure is purty! I really dig the white with scallops and more than two colors. I think we look at too many old black and white photos and forget that things were not always so bland back in the day. I'm glad you did something to make the eyes grow wide. Very nice car.
Damn fine lookin' ''A'' you have there, looks real good just sitting there under the lights. The colours of your ''A'' seem go to rather well with the colours of the hall that it's sitting in!I LIKE it a LOT! Nick.
First time I saw that coupe was at the Jmes Dean Run about 7 or maybe 9 years ago at the first turn after the entrance gate. I talked to Josh about it that day, definately a nice young man and a great car to boot. Deserves to be in a show Josh; congratulations. Ji
Thanks! I think I remember that. I haven't been to that show in many years. I need to go back sometime.
