Gongrats man. Nice car. Seeing it on the cover was the only thing that made me pic up this issue off the newsstand. Didn't even know it was a H.A.M.B.ers car.

Forgot to add... hate to say it but the colors on the donor car were pretty sweet... did you ever consider leaving it the same? Or of even keeping the origional paint and just repainting only the areas you had to modify? Gary

I liked the colors too, but I knew the direction I was going for and those colors just didnt go. It was a great combo though...might use that on another rod sometime though

Eric Guissert is on my list of great photographers that know what cars to shoot. I'm always impressed at his photographic skills and his ability to shoot great cars. Being picked by him to photograph your car is an honor in itself. Congratulations!

Congrats Dustin! I'm on my way out to find a copy for myself. I put about 250 miles on the bucket Friday and Saturday and it's running great dude! But then again you know that. Time to wash the grime off today.

very very nice, I just got this in the mail the other day and went right to the article to check out your car. I love it, nice work, and I like the look of the pipes.

Cool car, great addition to that mag.

  17. Agreed, the Little Dutch Boy (Geisert by the way) is a pretty good lens man, but he really needs some journalistic help. His writing many times is full of errors or just plain poorly written compared to most of the magazine guys, like "our own" Jim A here.
Doesn't diminish the great Kudos to sinticket for the coverage though

Thanks Don, didn't expect to be mentioned here. Nice car! Everyone has their own writing style. I just try and write about cars i like and tell that story like I'm relating it to a friend- in this case a bunch of people reading the story.

  19. Sinticket,
You have an awesome car man! I just got the mag on friday and the article and photos were incrediable. I'm from N.C. too and I went to Sean's shop a while back asking for advice for my '54 chevy. I remember seeing your car in the shop that day and I was blown away by it when it was still "in progress". You were right about Sean man he was one hell of a cool guy. I think I spent 2-3 hours that day just hanging out in his shop listening to his stories and him showing me all the projects he was working on. Cool car man and congrats on the cover feature!

Might check with the publisher and see if they have a special deal for folks with their car in the mag. Our truck was in a mag and they had a discount deal for extra issues for passing out or stashing away. Congrats!
