My 31 Plymouth's Progress

    I got rid of the parallel leaf frontend mainly because of the availability of chrome and stainless parts for the Ford frontend. And of course, the Ford I-beam and transverse spring just has a more traditional look.

    I made spacers for the valve covers, 3/4" thick by 1" tall. Milled them flat on the Bridgeport. Then I took out the rocker bolts that had the studs on them and replaced them with regular bolts, and made a 10ga steel bracket to go between then and rise over the rockers. Drilled them to line up with the Olds valve cover bolt holes and used an extruded J-clip on the hole. I'll try to remember to get some pics next time I have it all apart.
